Academic Video Online is a database of videos from a wide variety of subjects and formats that is available online through the St. Francis College Library Catalog and from the Library Databases page. Academic Video Online gives you access to full-length videos, the majority of which have been fully transcribed! The collection includes documentaries, works of art (animation, dance, theater, etc), industry talks, lectures and more.

From the Academic Video Online database you can mix and match genres and subjects or search by keyword. Additionally you can access the videos through the library catalog, by searching within ‘Online’ or ‘Streaming’ video. Videos can be streamed on any internet-enabled device and are accessible both inside and outside of the library as long as you have a St. Francis College ID.

Academic Video Online is a great way to add a new dimension to your research! Watch historical videos of presidential speeches and ad campaigns or browse the transcript of a documentary.

If you need help locating or loading a video, please contact one of the SFC librarian’s at the reference desk.
